Academic English preparation for international students who wish to pursue a graduate degree at Syracuse University!
Graduate Conditional Admission at Syracuse University is for international students who are not qualified for direct admission because they have not yet reached the level of English language proficiency required for their graduate program.
The specific graduate admission requirements at Syracuse University are decided by each college or program, whose conditional admission may specify different paths for conditional admits to meet the programs’ English proficiency requirement. Graduate conditional admits have the option to enroll in academic English programs at the English Language Institute (ELI).
Through various academic English classes, the ELI helps future graduate students develop their academic English communication, writing, and presentation skills as well as the advanced research skills needed for success in their future graduate program.
